Medical Physics and Radiotherapy is new focus at Department of Physics. Through our research we want to improve the treatment of cancer patients.
Medical Physics and Radiotherapy Group
In March 2020, the Medical Physics and Radiotherapy group headed by JProf. Armin Lühr started its work at the Department of Physics at TU Dortmund University. The focus of the working group is the further development of photon- and proton therapy and the transfer of research results to the clinic. Computer simulations and a close exchange with radiotherapy clinics are used for this purpose.
On this website you will find information about the persons and the research focus of the working group, offered courses and topics for theses, possible occupational fields in medical physics and much more.
