Medical physics is a specialisation at the Department of Physics. With our research in the field of radiotherapy, we aim to improve the treatment of cancer patients.
Medical Physics and Radiotherapy Group
The Lühr Group at the Department of Physics at TU Dortmund University, headed by JProf. Armin Lühr, deals with topics relating to medical physics and radiotherapy. The focus of the working group is the further development of photon- and proton therapy and the transfer of research results to the clinic. Computer simulations and a close exchange with radiotherapy clinics are used for this purpose.
